The beach of Altea is mostly a Pebble beach but still very enjoyable. The promenade along the beach is very well mantained and hosts some great restaurants and bars. The beach of Escollera, Rhoda and Mascarat are the most famous.

This midieval town on the top of a mountain is unique and spectacular and is known to be one of the most visited towns in Spain. This historical town was declared as a world heritage site in 1974, and is surrounded by the mountains of Sierra de Xorta, La Serella, La Sierra de Bernia and the Sierra of Aitana.
